Tyson Fury believes he has got under Oleksandr Usyk’s skin ahead of their world heavyweight title unification on Saturday.

Fury and Usyk will bid to crown the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the four-belt era when they clash at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Many observers feel ‘The Gypsy King’ has so far failed to disrupt the Ukrainian in the pre-fight build-up, as he did almost nine years ago to Usyk’s compatriot Wladimir Klitschko before becoming heavyweight world champion with a masterful display in Dusseldorf.

The WBC champion disagrees with the narrative and feels he has managed to unnerve the 37-year-old.

“I’m living in his mind rent free,” Fury told The Stomping Ground.

“For sure.

“People say, ‘oh, you can’t get in his mind.’

“I’m doctor X I can get in his mind. I’m already in his mind.

“He thinks about me every time he wakes up in the morning.

“Every time he closes his eyes for a rest in the day, his heart’s beating out of his body thinking about the Gypsy King.

“Every time he brushes his teeth or takes a p***, he thinks about me and my fat body and my big smile and he knows I’m coming for him.

“So I’m in there [his head] rent free.”

On Monday, Fury’s father John head butted a member of Usyk’s entourage as the respective teams clashed as both fighters were completing media duties.

Usyk will put his WBA ‘super’, WBO and IBF crowns on the line in his first fight since stopping Daniel Dubois in the ninth round in Poland last August.

Fury has been out of the ring since climbing off the canvas to claim a contentious split decision victory over ex-UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou in a non-title bout.

‘The Gypsy King’ believes he is facing his toughest opponent of his career to date.

“I think he’s the best opponent I’ve ever faced,” he told DAZN.

“Because I’ve fought world heavyweight champions before, fought undefeated people before, I’ve fought Olympic gold medalists before, but I’ve never fought a two-weight world champion before.

“So I think that puts him at the top of it all.”
