Tyson Fury insists he has no concerns over facing Anthony Joshua and believes his rival’s style is made for him.
WBC heavyweight champion, Fury was ringside in Saudi Arabia on Friday to witness Joshua’s destructive second round knockout of Francis Ngannou, who ‘The Gypsy King’ edged past by split decision in October.
The Manchester man, who had to climb off the canvas to beat Ngannou, faces unified WBA ‘super’, WBO and IBF titlist, Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight championship on May 18 and despite Joshua’s impressive performance, has warned it will be a different story when they eventually meet.
“He’s done absolutely fantastic tonight,” Fury told DAZN.
“He lit him up with a right hand, which was perfect and knocked him out.
“That’s what a boxer should have done to him.
“So, congratulations, well done.
“But, if he fights me in the future after I’ve dealt with Usyk twice, next year then it’ll be a different game, very different.”
‘AJ’, under ex-Fury trainer Ben Davison for the second time, secured his fourth straight win since back-to-back defeats to Usyk, who relieved him of his heavyweight belts.
Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn labelled him the best heavyweight in the world following his win over the ex-UFC heavyweight champion, however Fury maintains that his long-time rival has a style made to suit him.

“I’m still dismissive of him,” he added.
“Styles make fights and my style for him is kryptonite.
“I’ve always said AJ is built to measure for me and just because he knocked out that guy with a right hand, it’s not the same.
“Boxing’s different. Styles make fights.
“We saw he couldn’t land any of those right hands on Usyk, a way smaller man, a lighter man.
“Boxing is a very difficult game. It’s changing all the time.
“Styles make fights and his style is made for me.”
