Tyson Fury promised “serious hurt” when he faces Oleksandr Usyk in their rematch on Saturday.
Fury aims to avenge the first defeat of his professional career when he meets Usyk at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, seven months after being dropped on route to suffering a split decision defeat in the same venue.
‘The Gypsy King’ has cut a serious figure throughout the build-up and continued this demeanour at Wednesday’s public workout.
The 36-year-old gloved up, greeted the crowd and took his gloves off without throwing a single punch on the pads.
The Brit, who is generally in jovial mood, gave little away in an interview with DAZN afterwards, but did send a menacing warning to his rival.
“A lot of pain.
“Smash and damage.
“A lot of hurt, serious hurt.”
Fury, who looks to become a three-time heavyweight world champion, based his training camp in Malta for this rematch and claimed earlier this week that he’s had no contact with his wife Paris for three months.
Usyk secured the undisputed heavyweight championship in May, but relinquished the IBF belt to ensure a rematch and Daniel Dubois, who arrived in Riyadh earlier this week, was elevated to full champion after holding the interim title.
Should the Morecambe man secure revenge, a third bout with the Ukrainian is already contracted, according to Fury’s UK promoter, Frank Warren.
Fury, however has promised a victory so comprehensive that the the 37-year-old will never fight again.

“I’m going to make him feel his 37 years for sure,” Fury told Queensberry Promotions.
“He’s going to be in there with the Gypsy King, not whoever I was last time out.
“I’m feeling very good and I cannot wait for the fight Saturday night.
“I’m going to end him, end his career.
“You’ll never hear about Oleksandr Usyk again after this.”
