Heavyweight prospect Jared Anderson will make his third appearance inside ‘The Bubble’ in Las Vegas against Rodney Hernandez on September 5.
Undefeated Top Rank prodigy, Anderson (5-0, 5 KOs) has caught the eye in his two previous stints inside the MGM Grand Conference Center , stopping Johnnie Langston and Hector Perez in recent months.
‘The Real Big Baby’ sparred countless rounds with Tyson Fury ahead of his stunning rematch victory over Deontay Wilder in February and the 20-year-old is confident of securing a sixth straight stoppage on the undercard of Jamel Herring’s WBO Super-Featherweight title defence against Jonathan Oquendo.
“I’ve made my home in the ‘Bubble’ this summer, and I’ve enjoyed coming to Las Vegas and putting on a heavyweight show for the fans,” Anderson said.
“I don’t know too much about Rodney Hernandez, but I know he’s been in there with a lot of top guys and usually goes rounds.
“I can’t wait for this one. Top Rank keeps lining these guys up, and I’m knocking them out.”
Hernandez, (13-9-2, 4 KOs) a former Junior NABF Heavyweight titlist was halted in two rounds by Congolese Heavyweight Martin Bakole in Manchester last November and stopped in five rounds by Anderson’s now promotional stablemate Efe Ajagba in 2017.
Anderson and Hernandez clash on a pivotal night for Herring, (21-2, 10 KOs) who finally meets Oquendo, (31-6, 19 KOs) following two cancelled bouts after the 34-year-old tested positive for COVID-19.
The former US marine can set up a highly-anticipated showdown with Carl Frampton with victory.
Super-Middleweight contender Steven Nelson (16-0, 13 KOs) looks to preserve his unbeaten record against DeAndre Ware (13-2-2, 8 KOs).
