Peter Fury has offered some unfiltered advice to Anthony Joshua, as the former heavyweight world champion plots his next move.

Following his crushing stoppage loss to Daniel Dubois last September, there has been much speculation over what Joshua will do next – but Fury is of no doubt over what he wants to see.

Promoter Eddie Hearn has teased a long-awaited showdown between ‘AJ’ and Deontay Wilder, despite the American looking a shell of his once destructive self in back-to-back losses to Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang.

Fury, however, has rubbished the idea of a Wilder fight, and has implored Joshua to jump straight back in with Dubois and attempt to become a three-time heavyweight world champion.

In an interview with IFL TV, the esteemed trainer implored the Watford man to “stop f***ing around.”

“Joshua’s got a pair of balls because he’s proved himself. But show an even bigger pair and get back in there with Dubois!

“Stop f***ing around. Stop going round the houses saying I’ll fight Wilder. I’m into boxing, I’m not into business awards.

“That’s a fabulous business opportunity. It’s not worth a w*** as boxing the way I look at it.

“If Joshua wants to make a move, prove himself [as] the best and be a three time heavyweight world champion, he’s going to take a rematch of the fight where he was badly beaten up and stopped.

“That’s the fight I want to see.”

A rematch between Joshua and Dubois likely hangs on the result of the latter’s world title defence against Joseph Parker, which takes place on February 22nd in Riyadh.

As well as being linked to a clash with Wilder, Joshua has also been linked to a fight with Congolese contender Martin Bakole and a rematch with long-time domestic rival Dillian Whyte.

The former Olympic champion would almost certainly go into a second bout with Dubois as a considerable underdog, however it may be his only option if he wishes to capture heavyweight gold again.
