With Tyson Fury’s rematch with Oleksandr Usyk now just two months away, excitement about the mammoth heavyweight dust up is beginning to rise.
Fury suffered the sole defeat of his professional career against Usyk back in May, getting badly hurt and dropped on route to a split decision loss.
Whilst ‘The Gypsy King’ maintains he should have had his hand raised earlier this year, the consensus in the boxing world is that he will need to raise his game significantly if he is to take revenge over the masterful Ukrainian.
Former world champion turned trainer Anthony Crolla has weighed in with his two cents, and believes his fellow Brit should target the body more on December 21st
Speaking to Freebets.com, ‘Million Dolla Crolla’ stated:
“He’s looking really well, he’s speaking really well, seems on it, very confident.
“You never know with Tyson, he comes out with some mad stuff but he genuinely looks in a great place. I’m really looking forward to it.
“Another tough one, but he more or less had the fight won last time at the halfway stage.
“He’ll target Usyk’s body a bit more this time I think, he’s got a great chance of putting it right but Usyk finds a way to win, his adaptability is unbelievable.
“After the first fight, I’d put Usyk as favourite but wouldn’t be surprised if Tyson avenges it.”
🗣 “Should of finished when you had the chance”
🗣 “You’re really cool, my friend”🍿 This trash talk between @Tyson_Fury & @usykaa though 😅#Boxing #UsykFury2 #TysonFury #OleksandrUsyk pic.twitter.com/8hSU2vsl5u

“A few adjustments to be made, he (Tyson) got a lot of stick last time but I don’t know how much it affects Tyson because he is that kind of character, I think he does a lot of thinking for himself.
“The corner certainly needs addressing, I’m a big believer of one voice in the corner, one clear voice so we’ll see, but they’ll be the kinds of adjustments he’ll make.”
Fury has himself admitted he is planning to take matters out of the judges’ hands and stop Usyk in nine weeks’ time, and many pundits believe he could come into the fight significantly heavier than first time around.
