For a large portion of Ryan Garcia’s early career, there were many in the boxing world who felt he was not worthy of the hype he carried, in part due to a huge social media following.

However, Garcia has this week labelled one of the most accomplished fighters in the sport with the same tag.

‘King Ry’ has never been one scared of voicing his opinions, particularly over a volatile last 12 months.

And it was none other than four-weight world champion Terence Crawford who found himself on the receiving end of the most recent rant from the 26-year-old.

Crawford dethroned WBA light middleweight world champion Israil Madrimov last month, adding to his lightweight strap and undisputed status at both light welterweight and welterweight.

However, this clearly is not enough to impress Garcia, who sent an X-rated message the way of the Omaha favourite in an interview with SayCheese!

“Terence Crawford is not like that. Terence Crawford is an overhyped bum.

“I’m sorry but somebody has got to say it, you’re an overhyped bum I’m looking at the camera right now, you f**king suck bro.

“Stop acting like you’re like that, stop stealing boxing’s money, wasting everybody’s money, you’re not entertaining, you’re boring as f***.”

Garcia is currently serving a one-year ban from boxing after returning a positive VADA test in the lead-up to his grudge match with Devin Haney back in April.

But, despite the weight classes currently separating them, he claims he would have no problem taking on ‘Bud’ when he is clear to fight.

“Come see me in the ring if you think I’m talking s**t, I can do it anytime bro.

“I could definitely see Crawford, what you mean?

“I was one of the best fighters in the amateurs bro, he was too, I’ve seen many fighters like him. I don’t care if he can take away my left hook, I can find a way to get him.

“He’s not that good, he gets hit a lot, he gets hit and gets wobbled, he’s not untouchable.”
