Today super middleweight George Groves conducted a media workout at his Hammersmith gym ahead of Saturday night’s title eliminator and European Championship challenge against Christopher Rebrasse at the SSE Arena, Wembley.
Groves was put through his paces by coach Paddy Fitzpatrick and looked in top shape as he enters the final days of training prior to his Wembley return.
“I’m chomping at the bit,’” said the 26 year-old.
“Obviously less is more at this stage but we’ve had a very good camp and we’ve enjoyed ourselves. Now I can’t wait to get in there and rock ‘n’ roll. I’m counting down the seconds before I can get back in the ring and back to what I do best.”
Fans are eager to see how Saint George is looking coming off of his two stoppage defeats against Carl Froch. Always confident in himself, a fight against the European championship is not a gimme comeback fight at all after those two harsh defeats. We’ll see how he looks this weekend and if he’s ready to get back towards the top of the division.
