New York Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara will be Teddy Atlas’ sparring partner in this week’s “Fight Plan” segment which will air during ESPN Friday Night Fights on Friday, Jan. 31, at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN2
Amukamara steps in for Brandon Jacobs, the two-time Giants running back, who was slated to be on the show. Jacobs has long standing ties to the sport, including training and becoming a manager for friend Kendall Holt. But apparently he couldn’t make it out for one reason or another, and so in comes another Giants player, Amukamara.
The “Fight Plan,” during which Atlas illustrates what ESPN Friday Night Fights headliners need to do to win, will be taped this afternoon at the Elite Heat Boxing Gym in Newark, N.J.
Tomorrow’s ESPN Friday Night Fights at the Richard J. Codey Arena is dubbed the “Super Brawl” and will be held to the Super Bowl 48 festivities, in West Orange N.J.
