Undefeated super middleweight contender Gilberto “Zurdo”Ramirez (29-0, 23 KOs) of Mazatlan, Mexico and two-time Mexican Olympian and undefeated featherweight knockout artist Oscar Valdez (12-0, 11 KOs), of Nogales, Mexico held a press conference in San Antonio, Texas to announce their upcoming fights.

Ramirez takes on Fulgencio Zuniga (27-9-1), while Valdez meets Alberto Garza (26-8-1). Ramirez has been making quite the name for himself and appears about ready to break out on the big stage. An impressive performance here could potentially land him in a title fight, or perhaps a bout against somebody such as Marco Antonio Rubio. Valdez, of course, has much less professional experience, and Garza represents his most seasoned foe to date.
Also on hand at the presser were undercard fighters and prospects such asundefeated local lightweight prospect Ivan Najera (14-0, 8 KOs), of San Antonio and undefeated prospect Casey Ramos (18-0).
The doubleheader is slated for November 15th at the Alamodome, and the fights will be televised live exclusively on HBO Latino, beginning at 9:45 p.m. ET/PT.
