The legal battle between Eddie Hearn and Jake Paul finally came to a conclusion this week, after an out of court settlement was agreed.
Hearn filed a lawsuit against Paul all the way back in 2022, for comments the YouTuber made in the wake of Oleksandr Usyk’s rematch win over Anthony Joshua.
After judge Glen Feldman controversially scored the fight to Joshua, ‘The Problem Child’ brazenly accused the Matchroom boss of bribing officials which, as one might expect, did not go down well.
The British promotional outfit was seeking a reported $100 million in damages, with Feldman himself later joining the lawsuit.
And though Paul countersued in October of last year, things have now finally been squashed.

A filing by the United States District Court, Southern District of New York read:
“It is hereby stipulated and agreed, by the undersigned counsel of record for the parties herein, pursuant to Rule 41(a)(1)(ii) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, that the above-captioned action is dismissed with prejudice and without costs or fees to either party.

“Plaintiffs Matchroom Boxing Limited (“Matchroom”) and Edward John Hearn (“Hearn”), Plaintiff-Intervenor Glenn Feldman (“Feldman”) (collectively the “Plaintiffs”), and Defendant Jake Paul (“Paul”) (collectively referred to herein as the “Parties”) jointly submit this letter to notify the Court that the Parties have entered into a Settlement Agreement.
“Pursuant to the terms thereof, the Parties expect to file a Stipulation of Dismissal on or before March 31, 2025.”
Despite being at loggerheads in the courtroom, Paul and Hearn have still managed to get some business together, mainly in the shape of two fights between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano.
Last November’s rematch between Taylor and Serrano was negotiated whilst legal proceedings were ongoing, as was the trilogy bout between the pair which has just been announced for July 11.
Hearn actually promoted Paul’s professional debut against influencer AnEsonGib back in 2020, kickstarting what would go on to be a rollercoaster relationship between the two moguls.
