Eddie Hearn described Oscar De La Hoya’s latest message to him as “factually all over the place” as their public feud continues.
Hearn has been a consistent target of De La Hoya’s ‘Clapback Thursday’ series, in which the Golden Boy CEO responds to critics and discusses the sport’s latest news.
Matchroom Chairman, Hearn slammed the former five-weight world champion last week in response to his comments mocking him at the expense of Anthony Joshua’s defeat to Daniel Dubois.
There was perhaps no surprise that the 51-year-old once again took aim at the British promoter on Thursday.
“Let’s start with Eddie Hearn, who lost his mind after I called out the facts,” he said.
“Last week, I pointed out that all his fighters either lost or got injured.
“Eddie, am I just imagining that 14 of your main event fighters lost this year? 14 fighters!
“It happened last week with Sandy Ryan and the week before with AJ.

“The week before, Shakur [Stevenson] got hurt, and the week before, [Edgar] Berlanga was destroyed.
“You must be the biggest pathological liar on the planet to try and continue convincing us that you’re good at your job. It is a train wreck.”
Much of the distain appears to stem from when Canelo Alvarez left De La Hoya and joined Hearn.
Despite a the rather distasteful fallout which ensued when he left, ‘The Golden Boy’ has defended his time with the Mexican superstar and insists he promoted him into the powerhouse he is today.
“The Matchroom curse is a real thing, and you always bring up the fact that Canelo hates me.
“Yes, we hate each other, but it doesn’t change the fact that I promoted him for ten years and built him from scratch in the U.S.
“Canelo was with you for eight fights and dumped you because you’re incompetent and incapable of doing your job. Your record proves that. These are the facts.”
A graphic appeared of the 14 fighters De La Hoya claimed had lost under Hearn’s promotion in 2024, however it included Billy Joe Saunders, who has not fought since losing to Alvarez in 2021.
Hearn appeared to refer to this in a response on Instagram, describing the skit as factually inaccurate.
“Factually all over the place,” the 45-year-old wrote.
“But the time and effort is humbling thank you.
“The burn is very real.”
Despite sharing the same streaming service in DAZN, the bad blood between Hearn and De La Hoya shows no signs of getting resolved any time soon.
