Eddie Hearn has lauded Jaron Ennis as the biggest ticket seller in the USA after Canelo Alvarez and Gervonta Davis.
Hearn promoted his third straight bout for Ennis at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on Saturday, which saw the 27-year-old unify the welterweight division with a sixth round win over Eimantas Stanionis.
‘Boots’ drew a crowd of almost 10,000, which is similar to the audience which turned up to watch his title defence against Karen Chukhadzhian at the Wells Fargo Center in his hometown of Philadelphia in November.
Ennis drew almost 15,000 in July for the first fight on his Matchroom deal, a homecoming win at the same venue over David Avanesyan.
Matchroom Chairman, Hearn has claimed the IBF and WBA champion is now the third biggest ticket seller in the USA.

“Tell me a bigger ticket seller in America than Jaron Ennis,” the 45-year-old said during the post-fight press conference.
“Gervonta Davis, huge ticket seller and Canelo Alvarez.
“That’s it.
“This is the guy right here.

“We don’t need to be waiting for a call.
“We can plan our own future.”
Hearn is hopeful of securing further unification showdowns for Ennis and is keen to revisit talks with WBO titlist, Brian Norman Jr.
Talks collapsed for a meeting between the American pair last November and Hearn has challenged the Georgia man to face his charge.

“With all due respect to Brian Norman, he just boxed for about $150,000 on the undercard of Mikaela Mayer and Sandy Ryan,” he added.
“If we go back to the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia now, to unify again, Boots will fill the whole place, 18-19,000, unquestionably.
“There is money in the pot, but you have to show ambition.

“I spoke to [Norman’s promoter] Bob Arum and he made it clear to me that they want to try to make the fight.
“There is probably close to ten-times the biggest payday of Brian Norman’s career to fight Boots.
“If you don’t want to get int the ring, you might as well retire from the sport, because what’s it all about?”
