Long Island fan favorite Cletus “The Hebrew Hammer” Seldin will return to battle against hard hitting Nicaraguan Wilfredo “EL Zurdo” Acuna on Thursday, April 24 at The Paramount in Huntington, New York.

The Seldin/Acuna eight round junior welterweight clash headlines “Rockin Fights 13” another installment of the widely acclaimed professional boxing series presented by Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing.

Currently training in West Palm Beach, Florida, the 27-year-old Seldin, 12-0-0 (9KO’s), has thrilled local boxing fans at The Paramount with his battering of opponents and show-stopping knockouts in each appearance.

The former body builder and standout amateur wrestler made his highly anticipated and successful return to the ring following right shoulder surgery on NOVEMBER 22 against tough Mexican veteran Gilbert Venegas in front of a standing room only crowd at The Paramount.

Dominating the action from the outset, Seldin won a wide eight round unanimous decision as he looked towards his 2014 campaign.

“Cletus has improved with each fight, from his knockout power to the terrific boxing skills he displayed going the distance against Venegas” said DeGuardia, Founder and President of Star Boxing. “We’re looking for spectacular things from him this year and look forward to his bout with the tough Nicaraguan Acuna on APRIL 24.”

A veteran of 29 professional fights over his eight years as a professional, the 32-year-old southpaw Acuna is well known to Long Island boxing fans having battled Chris Algieri this past September 4 in front of a packed house at The Paramount.

Fighting on December 20 in Honduras, Acuna returned to the win column, stopping Freddy Madrigal in the third round.
