Isaac Chamberlain wasted little time in claiming the vacant IBF International cruiserweight title, as he halted Dilan Prasovic right at the end of the opening round of their meeting at The National Sports Centre in Crystal Palace.

Chamberlain is looking to kick on after a frustrating few years, and had been rebuilding since a 2018 points loss to Lawrence Okolie. Prasovic represented a good yardstick for the Londoner, as he was knocked out in three by Okolie in a challenge for the WBO world title in September. Prasovic was no match for Chamberlain here, and, after a pedestrian opening couple of minutes, ‘IC’ exploded into life, sensing a weakness to the visitor’s body, and after some big rights landed to the mid-section of Prasovic that hurt him, a well placed left hook downstairs dropped Prasovic, and he was counted out. Chamberlain will now hope to move towards world level, with the division a competitive one.

“He caught me with a left hook and I thought I need to take this guy out because this is a fight” said Chamberlin to Channel 5 post-fight.

“He’s (Prasovic) been at world level, so I had to be switched on, and I’m so glad I got it done in emphatic fashion”.

Stephen McKenna took his frustrations out on late notice opponent Jack Ewbank, who was dropped twice on the way to a first round defeat at super welterweight. Stephen’s brother Aaron McKenna took the vacant WBC Youth middleweight title, winning all eight rounds against Carlos Gallego.

Kaisee Benjamin floored Wiston Campos in the first round of their meeting at welterweight, and then scored a knockout victory a round later. Idris Virgo picked up only his second stoppage win in 13 fights, and remained unbeaten with a seventh round stoppage win against Adam Trenado, who was down four times in all, once in the third, and three times in the seventh before the fight was waved off.

At heavyweight, Naylor Ball took just over a minute to see off Andrea Pesce, with the Italian on the deck twice before being stopped. Guildford featherweight Alfie Clegg made in two wins from two in the professional ranks, but had to get up off the canvas in the opening frame before taking a 39-37 win after four rounds. Nathan Mizon moved to 3-0, as he scored a fourth round knockdown in his welterweight clash with Petar Aleksandrov, but settled for a 40-36 win on the referee’s scorecard.
