Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom and Sky Sports were once synonymous with one and other, with Hearn’s outfit having an exclusive UK broadcasting deal with the super power for almost a decade.
That relationship, which orchestrated the rise of Anthony Joshua and played a huge part in reviving British boxing as a whole, came to a conclusion in 2021 after Hearn decided to ship his product over to streaming service DAZN.
And though both Sky and Matchroom offered up the usual tropes of peace and well wishing, things are clearly far from amicable almost three years on.
Legal letters and pot shots in interviews have become the norm, and Hearn has offered up a fresh swipe at his former partners this week.
In an interview with Boxing Social, he claimed Sky are intentionally not covering his stable and called into question their impartiality as a broadcaster.
“Sky are being told not to push any Eddie Hearn, Matchroom and DAZN fights and have been for years.
“When I was at Sky I had a go at them and asked why are you pushing all these other fights over mine.
“They said cause they are independent and they like to support the sport.
“Since I left they haven’t given us one tweet, one post, or one bit of air time which is really sad.
“Katie Taylor, Josh Taylor vs Jack Catterall, it would be great for British boxing to get on that and say it is back.
You’re supposed to be impartial as a news outlet but that is just the sadness of the sport. It is what it is, it’s a dirty game, baby!”
After Hearn was interviewed on Sky Sports last month as part of their coverage for Artur Beterbiev vs Callum Smith, some thought that perhaps tensions were beginning to cool.

It was announced on Monday that Sky Sports will be broadcasting Anthony Joshua vs Francis Ngannou on PPV in the UK, with the fight also available to purchase on DAZN.
This is despite Joshua being under an exclusive agreement with the streaming service.
