After months of anticipation and build up, Jake Paul defeated a beyond faded Mike Tyson via unanimous decision at the AT&T Stadium in Texas.

Tens of millions will have tuned in to see Paul (11-1, 7 KOs) lock horns with Tyson (50-7, 44 KOs), and there was an element of intrigue to see whether or not the 58-year-old New Yorker could muster up enough fire to upset the brash YouTuber.

However, it did not prove to be the case, as ‘Iron Mike’ looked his age in a big way and was unable to close the distance on the Ohio native, who was able to keep him at bay with his faster feet and longer jab.

Apart from a lively first round, Tyson enjoyed little to no success in the bout, and it looked like ‘The Problem Child’ could have secured the stoppage at any given moment from round three onwards.

Thankfully, he seemed reluctant to pursue the finish, be it either to show mercy to the depleted legend standing across from him or from wariness of getting caught by a counter shot on the way in.

By the time the final bell rang, there was no doubt as to which hand would be raised, and the three ringside judges declared Paul a wide winner.

Taylor gets the nod over Serrano

Following their epic battle at Madison Square Garden in 2022, Katie Taylor (24-1, 6 KOs) and Amanda Serrano (47-3-1, 31 KOs) delivered another classic in the co main event.

Serrano appeared to be in the ascendency until she suffered a brutal gash on her eyebrow just before the halfway stage, that potentially looked like bringing the fight to an underwhelming early conclusion.

However, the doctor let her continue and the Puerto Rican showed heart in abundance to see the final bell, having more than her fair share of success.

There were audible boos as a unanimous decision for Taylor was announced, with many observers thinking the challenger had done enough – especially given an eighth round point deduction for the Irishwoman.

Nothing to split Barrios and Ramos

Defending champion Mario Barrios (29-2-1, 18 KOs) and Abel Ramos Jr (28-6-3, 22 KOs) showed out in a welterweight world title contest that was as bloody as it was entertaining.

Both men were dropped and hurt badly, but dug deep to hear the final bell and leave it down to to the three ringside judges – who were unable to seperate them. A split draw was announced meaning the title stays with Barrios, however an immediate rematch seems inevitable.

Further undercard recap

Indian favourite Neeraj Goyat (19-4-2, 8 KOs) proved to be levels above Brazillian influencer Whindersson Nunes (0-1) as he soundly outpointed him over six rounds.

Shadasia Green (15-1, 11 KOs) and Melinda Watpool (7-1, 2 KOs) slugged it out for world honours at super middleweight, with the former squeaking out a razor close win on the cards.

Lucas Bahdi (18-0, 15 KOs) found himself in a tougher than advertised fight with Italian lightweight champion Armando Casamonica (14-1, 3 KOs), though did enough to emerge with a majority decision victory.

In the show’s curtain raiser, hot featherweight prospect Bruce Carrington (14-0, 8 KOs) was able to score a points win over a game Dana Coolwell (13-3, 8 KOs).
