Love Island star, boxing fan and possibly soon to be professional prizefighter, Jamie Jewitt joins proboxing-fans.com.
Jewitt reflects on Ryan Garcia vs Luke Campbell after witnessing ‘KingRy’ show his heart to bounce back from the canvas to stop the Briton in the seventh round.
Since that win the accolades have flooded in across social media and fans have been getting excited at the fight prospects available too Garcia, Jamie included.
“Any of those would be mouthwatering, any of those would be exciting. I think personally he would be beat [Devin] Haney!” Jewitt told proboxing-fans.com.
“It’s one of those divisions, it’s so stacked. You’re not going to turn your nose up at any of those fights being made.”
One comparison that has been made is the one to the Four Kings. Are Ryan Garcia, Gervonta Davis, Teofimo Lopez and Devin Haney comparable to Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns, Roberto Duran and Marvin Hagler? Jewitt can see why it’s been mentioned.
“In the sense that they all are very young, fresh and up and coming.
“They all seem to be very close in terms of their talent.
“They’ve all excelled in their division but they’re all evenly matched. It’s like a runaway pack of the division.
“I think that’s a fair comparison in terms of there being such an exciting bunch in one division that seem to have so far excelled ahead of their competitors.
“People can’t wait for that tournament structure so to speak to go down between them to see who really is the top dog.”
In this exclusive interview, Jewitt went on to discuss what’s next for Daniel Dubois, Anthony Yarde and Luke Campbell, provided advice for weight loss, exercise and diet tips whilst being in lockdown and revealed his plans for 2021, as he has been commissioned for two seasons of a brand new podcast, whilst he still hopes to compete inside the ring.
Finally, we put Jamie on the spot as we ask him for his 2021 Wishlist, as he pits Joshua Buatsi in a tough fight and reveals who he will be keeping his eye on this year.
