This past Tuesday in Mexico City, Televisa Deportes hosted an event titled “Maker of Champions” recognizing the young fighters who are on their way to becoming world champions and fighters who are or were world champions and idols to the very large and loyal Televisa sports and boxing fanbase. Two of the prominently featured athletes were brothers Javier Molin and Oscar Molina.
Televisa the #1 network in Mexico, has been televising fights for 40 years, honored many of these past and present champions including Saul Alvarez, Juan Carlos Salgado, Leo Santa Cruz as well as the up and coming 2012 Mexican Olympian Oscar Molina, who was joined by his twin brother, Javier at the celebration.
After the festivities, the brothers flew back home to California with their manager, Arnulfo Bravo, as they continue preparations for their separate bouts on March 9th in Costa Mesa, CA at The Hangar at OC Fair & Event Center underneath the Juan Carlos Salgado-Argenis Mendez IBF World Championship junior lightweight bout.
