A talent-rich undercard featuring unbeaten Texan Jermall Charlo, 2012 U.S. Olympian Errol Spence Jr., Georgia’s Justin DeLoach and some of Florida’s most promising prospects will warm up the crowd at the Saturday, June 1 edition of the Golden Boy Boxing Series at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida, leading up to the Braulio Santos vs. Derrick Wilson and Daquan Arnett vs. Miguel Zuniga featured bouts which will be televised on FOX Sports Networks, FOX Deportes and FUEL TV.
In televised action will be 23-year-old former amateur star Jermall Charlo (13-0, 9 KO’s) of Houston, who has been turning heads in the professional game and is coming off of the biggest win of his career, a fifth round stoppage of 29-3-2 Orlando Lora on April 20. Charlo will meet the experienced Luis Hernandez (21-5, 14 KO’s) of Ibarra, Ecuador in a six-round junior middleweight contest.
Charlo’s fellow Texan, 2012 United States Olympian Errol Spence Jr. (5-0, 4 KO’s) hailing from Dallas, has kept a torrid pace since the 23-year-old turned pro in November of last year, most recently stopping 21-fight veteran Brandon Hoskins in a single round on May 3. He will face Guillermo Ibarra (7-2, 4 KO’s) of Los Mochis, Mexico in a junior middleweight bout scheduled for four rounds
Trained by the renowned Ronnie Shields, exciting 19-year-old Augusta native Justin DeLoach (2-0, 1 KO) is seen by many as having the tools to become a world champion one day. On June 1, the welterweight will square off with debuting Homestead, Florida native Jonathan Olivera in a four-round bout which will be aired on the broadcast time permitting.
Another one of Shields pupils, Miami’s Steve Geffrard (0-1) will look for his first pro win when he battles Baltimore’s Travis Reeves in a four-round cruiserweight match-up.
Plus, Ponce, Puerto Rico’s Chris Velez (4-0-1, 3 KO’s) risks his unbeaten record in a six-round welterweight fight against Miami’s Jose Angel Segura (2-3-2, 1 KO) and Fort Lauderdale’s Travis Castellon (0-0-1) faces Orlando native Will Fauth, who will be making his professional debut, in a four-round lightweight bout.
The event will also feature a special guest appearance by Hall of Famer Tommy “The Hitman” Hearns.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the first bell rings at 8:00 p.m. The FOX Sports Networks and FOX Deportes bi-lingual simulcast will air live at 10:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. PT. FUEL TV will rebroadcast the fight on Sunday, June 30 at 12:00 p.m. ET/9:00 a.m. PT.
