Jhonatan Romero arrived at the Revel Casino-Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ earlier today. The IBF Jr. Featherweight champion says he is ready for his first title defense. He’s lined up against Kiko Martinez, and the prospect of potentially bigger fights looms for Romero should he win this fight.

“All the preparation is done and over with,” Romero said. “Now its all about getting into that ring and taking care of business.”

“He looks sharp, focused and hungry,” said Alex Camponovo, general manager and matchmaker at Thompson Boxing Promotions. “He is in excellent shape and is excited to fight live on HBO.”
