The seemingly never-ending war of words between Simon Jordan and Eddie Hearn has carried on this week.

The pair have been going back-and-forth basically ever since Jordan started covering boxing for talkSPORT, with Hearn appearing on his segment several times for some heated debates.

The former Crystal Palace chairman, in his column in the Daily Mail, stated that it was “perplexing” that the Saudi Arabian national anthem was played at Wembley prior to the Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois fight.

And when asked about Jordan’s criticisms by Boxing Social,  Hearn described him as “a grade A plonker.”

“Simon Jordan is the most miserable geezer I have ever met in my life.

“Can you imagine being around this guy? It would do your nut in, he doesn’t stop moaning.

“I know it’s his thing because disc jockeys have to do that. But at the end of the day, what’s the big deal?

“Before Riyadh Season came along, all he did was moan that we didn’t get these fights. All of a sudden they’ve started happening, now he wants to moan about the national anthem.

“He calls me an imbecile. The geezer is a grade A plonker.

“He does not stop moaning. It’s absolutely mental, and he puts his broadcaster in the s**.”

Never one to go down without a fight, Jordan fired back at the Matchroom boss on talkSPORT on Monday.

“The reason I called him an imbecile was because I assumed he couldn’t read.

“Because if he could read, he’d have read the article and he’d realise that none of the things he’s addressing have I actually said!

“Of course Eddie is substituting principles and integrity for commercial returns, which is his prerogative.

“I’m happy to have the Saudis at the table and have their investment.

“What I’m not so happy about is that we seem to think that in order to have this investment, we have to give everything up.”
