Anthony Joshua has opened the door to a Netflix series of his own, inspired by arch-rival Tyson Fury.
Joshua has admitted to being a fan of Fury’s hit Netflix series ‘At Home with the Furys’, which showcased the ex-WBC heavyweight champion’s life at home and away from the squared circle.
‘AJ’ is still yet to face his long-time British rival and the documentary showcases previous failed negotiations between the pair to finalise a fight.
However, Joshua confessed to enjoying the series and insists it gave him added knowledge on his rival, which he plans to use to his advantage should they eventually clash.
“I like it,” the 34-year-old told Men’s Health.
“I like his kids. They’re so funny.
“His wife is loyal, so supportive.
“I am partly watching it because it gives me an insight that maybe I can use if we do fight.”
Asked if he would allow cameras to follow his every day life, the Watford man replied: “Yes, definitely,” although he maintains that he would do it differently to Fury.
“Maybe I would focus more on the business, our values, what we will do after boxing.
“What is the gain for family? A minute of fame?
“If one of them had a strategy where they wanted to showcase themselves for some reason then yes, a great opportunity, but they don’t.”
Joshua revealed a particular scene he enjoyed in the series was when a man walked up to ‘The Gypsy King’ and told him that ‘AJ’ would win a future bout, a comment he insists he’ll reward him for.
“Yeah, I’ll need to get him some free tickets,” he added.
“I thought Fury handled it really well.”
Since the programme aired, Fury has lost his WBC title to Oleksandr Usyk and will look to exact revenge over the Ukrainian when they meet in a rematch on December 21 in Saudi Arabia.
Joshua is preparing for his own world title fight when he faces IBF champion, Daniel Dubois on September 21 at Wembley Stadium.
Should Fury and Joshua win their respective bouts, they are expected to finally lock horns in 2025.
