Juergen Braehmer (45-2, 33 KOs) will defend his title against Robin Krasniqi (43-3, 16 KOs) on March 21 in Rostock, Germany. The 36 year-old southpaw returns, following the first-round knockout Pawel Glazewski in December, to face Krasniqi in a domestic showdown.
‘’This is a fight people have been talking about for a long time.’’ said Braehmer. ‘’Now, the time has come to give the fans what they want. On March 21, I will defeat Krasniqi and retain my title.’’
In Rostock, Krasniqi will have the opportunity to achieve his ultimate ambition, when he makes his second world title attempt. ‘’My dream has always been to become world champion,’’ said the Munich-based boxer. ‘’I missed my first opportunity two years ago, but this time I will take my chance and dethrone Braehmer!’’
