Kelly Swanson – fight persona, The Communicator – of boxing PR company Swanson Communications, is training for a charity boxing match this Saturday. She’s trying to raise a total of $7,500, and is more than half way there so far, but still needs a boost. Here are the details, and an appeal straight from her:
With just days left until I enter the squared circle, I am working harder than ever to get ready for my Fighters 4 Life Showcase charity fight at Gleason’s Gym in Brooklyn this Saturday, November 16. For those who have already donated to my page (www.crowdrise.com/
There is still time to donate! The proceeds go to Gleason’s Give A Kid A Dream, a great program that gives at-risk youth the opportunity to attend Gleason’s boxing program, work with a professional trainer, learn fitness and nutrition and possibly become a world class fighter one day. I have been fortunate to see the benefits of this program during my workouts at Gleason’s and I am even more motivated to raise money for the cause.
Please help me reach my goal of raising $7,500 before this Saturday night, and if you’re anywhere in the New York City area, I hope to see you ringside to cheer me on and see my very special corner man Bernard “The Alien” Hopkins!
