This weekend saw Wladimir Klitschko pick up the 61st win of his professional career, as he cruised past Alexander Povetkin in an ugly, foul-filled affair. Well, we have some post-fight coverage on the Klitschko vs. Povetkin results for you here, including a collection of photos from fight night in Moscow, Russia, as well as an update to our top 10 Heavyweight division rankings.
Klitschko vs. Povetkin Fight Night Photos
Here’s a quick quote from each man following the fight:
Wladimir Klitschko, explaining his performance: “I would have really wanted to win early. Probably I was too tense.”
Alexander Povetkin on the loss: “It was not how I wanted to box or perform and I will train even harder so that I can improve.”
Also, as mentioned, we have updated our Heavyweight division rankings. Obviously, Wladimir Klitschko remains the number 1 fighter in the division. But just how far does Povektin fall, and will we be seeing him back in the ring against one of the other top fighters in the immediate future?
Povetkin can certainly compete with anybody not named Wladimir or Vitali, so hopefully they seek out the best of the rest instead of looking for some tune-up fights following this loss.
