Is Wladimir Klitschko the most interesting man in the world?
Here’s what Klitschko had to say:
“This is the best fight the heavyweight division has to offer at the moment. The interest in this title defense is immense, just like it was against David Haye. This is exactly what heavyweight boxing needs.
“It is the first time that I will be boxing here. The fight also has a history. Povetkin blew it twice, but now we are sure that it will take place.
“Last year here my brother Vitali fought here against Manuel Charr. I thought it would be a dream to step into the ring here too, and now I’m looking forward to it.
“This is a worldwide event, with more than 150 countries broadcasting my fight live. There’s already something special in the air. We are both Olympic champions. We are both world champions – this already makes this fight something special. I’m sure that it will be a very entertaining but also a technical fight.
I’m not taking Alexander lightly, but I’m also not overestimating his skills.”
And Povetkin’s quotes:
“This is the most important fight of my life.
This is a very important battle against the strongest boxer in the world, that’s why the training is the most important thing ever. The first part of the preparation is already done.”
