Today in Washington DC, a packed crowd of supporters took in the official weigh-ins for Saturday’s Showtime doubleheader, headlined by Lamont Peterson vs. Dierry Jean, and also featuring Gabriel Rosado vs. Jermell Charlo.

Peterson vs. Jean Weights
- Lamont Peterson: 139.5 lbs
- Dierry Jean: 139 lbs
Both Peterson and Jean were absolutely shredded. Each man, and his team, was confident, but Peterson looked particularly at ease, happy and relaxed, ready to go. It was a change of pace from how he seemed during camp, now he’s clearly ready to simply take care of business and isn’t worried about all the rest.
Rosado vs. Charlo Weights
- Gabriel Rosado: 154 lbs
- Jermell Charlo: 153 lbs
These two were also both very confident, except here the two guys got into a bit of a heated exchange, with plenty of trash-talking. Rosado and his camp were wearing “Operation Chop Down Charlo” shirts, and Charlo countered with the phrase “Operation Retire Rosado” when he was being interviewed. Both of these two guys are also in fantastic shape as well.
Both of the fights should be competitive, and there should be a raucous crowd at the D.C. Armory come Saturday night.
