One week ago in a Pennsylvania District Court, a lawsuit was filed against Jimmy Burchfield and Hank Lundy by Ivan Cohen. In the past, there has been some turmoil around who is the rightful manager of Lundy, with both Cohen and Burchfield making claims. Well, as earlier promised by Cohen, he would bring a lawsuit against the parties that stood in the way of what he believes is a valid contract through 2014.I’m not sure as to the details of who has what contracts, and what is valid until when… or anything else.
I just hope that this doesn’t end up keeping Lundy on the shelf for an extended period of time. Coming off a nice win in a heated fight against Dannie Williams, Lundy has some real momentum behind him right now, and he’s a legit top 10 fighter in the lightweight division. A title shot could be right around the corner… assuming he can stay busy and continue pursuing his professional career.
