Lerrone Richards says he is not chasing any particular fight, but would be open to meeting the winner of Daniel Jacobs’ clash with John Ryder.

Richards secured the IBO super middleweight title with a split decision victory over then-unbeaten Ecuadorian, Carlos Gongora in Manchester in December.

The 29-year-old, who also holds the European title is targeting his ring return in either April or May and insists the winner of the February 12 showdown between former world champion, Jacobs and former world title challenger, Ryder would appeal to him.

“I ain’t got my eyes set on anyone,” Richards told proboxing-fans.com.

“I stay in my own lane, but obviously there’s big fights out there.

“There’s the likes of Caleb Plant, Fedor Chudinov, there’s [David] Benavidez out there as well, Rocky Fielding, John Ryder, Daniel Jacobs, so they’re the few names around world level and I’m well in the mix now and I can’t wait until them fights go ahead.”

Asked if he’d fight the winner of Jacobs-Ryder, he replied: “Absolutely, I’ve said it.

“I’m not chasing anyone, I’m not calling anyone out.

“I just want the big fights, I want the big fights to be made and I’m more than ready to fight anyone in the world.

“If Jacobs wins, I’ll fight Jacobs, if Ryder wins, then I’d love to fight Ryder.”

’Sniper The Boss’ has top 15 rankings in both the WBC and IBF, with Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez holding all the belts at super middleweight and yet to announce his next move.

The Londoner is undefeated in his first 16 professional fights and believes the more experience he gains, the tougher he will become for his rivals.

“I’m developing very, very well under Dave Coldwell.

“Theres a lot of things that people ain’t seen from me yet, but with the right fight people will see.

“Obviously now I’m at world level, I’m top 10 in the world and I now have the opportunity to showcase my skills at that higher level.

“When it comes to the skills, I’ve got elite skills.

“I’ve only had 16 fights, like you said and it’s about gaining the experience and once I’ve got that experience, I can’t be beat.”
