Lennox Lewis has weighed in with his prediction for Friday night’s polarising clash between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson.

Paul will lock horns with former Lewis opponent, Tyson at the AT&T Stadium in Texas, with around 65,000 fans expected to turn out for the blockbuster event.

Most pundits are predicting a victory for the brash YouTuber, believing that the over 30-year age gap will be too much for ‘Iron Mike’ to overcome.

However, former undisputed heavyweight king, Lewis, who stopped Tyson back in 2002, is backing his former rival to get the job done.

In an interview with The Schmo, ‘The Lion’ insisted that the 58-year-old “still has it.”

“I think it’s going to be a good fight. Mike Tyson what he does, he’s two-dimensional, he’s going to come at you and try and knock you out.

“Now you have to try and stay away from him and his power.

“I saw him working out the other day and he throws some good combinations.

“Those six-punch combinations, Paul has to make sure he’s not in the way of those punches, because Tyson’s a real fighter.

“Tyson still has it, he can throw a punch, he can take a punch, so he’s doing something he’s used to.”

Lewis also was of no doubt when asked by Fox 29 for his prediction.

“Mike Tyson’s gonna win.”

Despite the fact the pair will only compete in two minute rounds and will wear larger gloves, the contest is a professional bout that will go on their official records.

Many in the boxing world have expressed concerns for the ageing Tyson’s health, whilst some have even speculated that the fight may be scripted with a predetermined outcome.

That said, the event is expected to draw a viewership well into the tens of millions, thanks in no small part to being broadcast live on streaming giant Netflix.
