Liam Williams weighed in exactly on the Middleweight limit ahead of his British title defence against Andrew Robinson on Saturday live on BT Sport.
Williams, who is mandatory challenger to WBO world champion, Demetrius Andrade, came in at 11st 6lb, right on the limit, whilst former English title challenger, Robinson hit the scales just lighter at 11st 5lb 5oz.
Williams makes the second defence of his Lonsdale Belt at BT Sport Studios and remains unbeaten in his last six fights since successive defeats to Liam Smith at 154lbs, whilst Robinson has won three on the bounce following a stoppage loss to Mark Heffron who ‘The Machine’ halted in 2018.
On the undercard, Nathan Gorman weighed in over a stone heavier than Richard Lartey for their rescheduled Heavyweight clash.
Gorman, who fights for the first time since a fifth round knockout defeat to Daniel Dubois last July scaled at 19st 7lb 3oz, whilst his Ghanian opponent, who was also beaten by ‘Dynamite’ almost three months prior came in at 18st 4lb 6oz.
The pair were set to meet on the undercard of Anthony Yarde’s stoppage win over Dec Spelman last month, however Lartey was unable to present his medicals in time, forcing the postponement.
Unbeaten Willy Hutchinson drops down a weight to face Jose Miguel Fandino and the Dominic Ingle-trained fighter came in at 12st 1lb 7oz for their agreed 12st 2lb showdown, whilst the Spaniard was just an oz heavier.
Muheeb Fazeldin hit the scales at 9st 3lb 6oz just lighter than Luke Jones at 9st 4lb 8oz.
Mark Chamberlain, who lead boxing’s return on the undercard to Brad Foster’s victory over James Beech Jr in June weighed in at 9st 12lb 5oz, just heavier than Shaun Cooper who came in at 9st 10lb 7oz.
