Golovkin vs. Rubio Round by Round Results
Rd 1: Plenty of noise as the crowd chant “Triple G” as the fight begins. Rubio by far the bigger man as Golovkin starts with left hook leads. Rubio coming forward on occasion but is unable to distress Golovkin. Golovkin lands a booming overhand right as the round comes to an end! Rubio doesn’t look too shook up, but it seals the round for Golovkin.
Rd 2: Golovkin lands strong straight right through the middle as Rubio covers up on the ropes. Golovkin lands a huge right uppercut, Rubio is in trouble. Golovkin lands a chopping left hook on the forehead of Rubio and Rubio is down!!!! Referee Jack Reiss is a bit quick with his count but Rubio gets up groggily on 10 and the fight is over!!!

Donaire vs. Walters Round by Round Results
Rd 1: Walters coming out on the front foot. Donaire zips a left uppercut that Walters just avoids. Donaire goes down but its ruled a slip. Walters stalks forward but failing to connect. Donaire lands a short left on the inside as the pair come together at the end of the round.
Rd 2: Donaire starts the round with good, firm jabs. Donaire looking to time Walters, Walters repsonds with good jab. Donaire slips a shot but lands a low left uppercut below the belt. Walters gets time to recover. Walters unloading with heavy shots at the end of the round but Donaire stays inside and lands and Walters is seriously hurt!!! Walters staggers back to his corner!! This fight may not have long left!
Rd 3: Walters still looks slightly unsteady at start of the round. Donaire boxing beautifully, picking Walters off as he comes forward. Donaire starts to come forward himself, standing and trading on the inside. Walters lands a powerful right uppercut as Donaire comes on, Donaire down!!! Donaire responds by trading with Walters as the crowd cheers! We have a fight on our hands!!!
Rd 4: Walters landing consecutive jabs as the pair engage more tentatively having hurt one another. Donaire marking up around the right eye. Donaire more static, Walters landing more than he misses with the jab, smiling as Donaire misses with his own shots. Finally, a round without drama!
Rd 5: Donaire tries to negate Walters’ height and reach advantage by getting inside, but Walters lands the more memorable shots. Walters is moving Donaire with his punches. Donaire looking older by the minute, Walters clearly the stronger, fresher guy here. Donaire will have to be careful with this strategy.
Rd 6: Donaire missing with counter punches he was formerly landing. Walters lands a huge jab as he nudges Donaire into a corner. Walters strength starting to tell, his shots are really hurting Donaire. Walters lands a big right hand over the top as Donaire comes towards him, Donaire down face first!!! Donaire gets up slowly but it’s all over, Walters wins by stoppage right at the end of the 6th round!!!

Edwin Rodriguez vs. Azea Augustama Round by Round Results
Rd 1: Low shot from Rodriguez as he bullies Augustama, good left to the body.
Rd 2: Rodriguez cut over right eye. Augustama just missing with right hand, but Rodriguez is dominating with a low held guard.
Rd 3: Rodriguez is landing the overhand right well and often and good left uppercuts. Augustama missing with a lot of his work.
Rd4: Augustama looking more comfortable in this round. Rodriguez lands a solid right hand through the guard as Augustama backs up and finishes the round by mocking his opponent.
Rd 5: Rodriguez putting everything into every shot, lands a beautiful uppercut on the inside. He continues to showboat, Augustama isn’t putting up much of a fight now, and walks back to the corner slowly.
Rd 6: Both men miss simultaneously with right hands. Rodriguez landing hard shots, but Augustana standing up to it. One sided fight at this stage.
Rd 7: Rodriguez hanging his chin in the air but Augustama unable to land. Rodriguez’ long arms connecting over low held left hand of Augustama.
Rd 8: This fight is set in a boring pattern. Rodriguez circles the ring, throws and occasionally lands, Augustama lands nothing in return.
Rd 9: Rodriguez with sustained pressure, landing several hurtful overhand rights. Augustama landing nothing back, covers up.
Rd 10: Crowd cheer the announcement of the final round, this writer performs a dance. It’s all become extremely tedious. Rodriguez dominates another round to achieve a complete shutout on this writer’s card.
