Luke Campbell will make his eagerly awaited professional debut at Craven Park in Hull on July 13, live on Sky Sports.
The Olympic Gold medalist kicks off life in the paid ranks at the home of Hull Kingston Rovers Rugby League, with tickets for the night going on sale on Monday, May 20.
Campbell’s pro bow tops the bill on a great night of action in Yorkshire, as Sheffield’s unbeaten welterweight star Kell Brook returns to the ring after nine months out and will face old foe Carson Jones in a rematch of their brutal battle in the Steel City in July.
Hull lightweight Tommy Coyle clashes with Derry Mathews for the Commonwealth title, with more names to be added to the exciting card soon.
“This is going to be a special night for Hull and a massive night for British boxing,” said Campbell’s promoter Eddie Hearn.
“The whole city will have a chance to witness the start of Luke’s professional journey whilst also watching a huge card. Kell Brook returns after a frustrating period, re-matching Carson Jones following their epic battle last July and popular Hull fighter Tommy Coyle has a huge opportunity taking on Derry Mathews for the Commonwealth strap. Fans can expect plenty more cracking fights added to the bill in the coming weeks.’’
Tickets will go on sale on Monday, May 20 and will be available from www.hullkr.com and www.matchroomboxing.com.
