Here are some of the big notes about Manny Pacquiao and his training camp, as the weeks wind down prior to his bout with Antonio Margarito. Pacquiao vs. Margarito will be on HBO PPV, but in the meantime, Pacquiao is going to be popping up all over the place making appearances in the media and the news. MANNY’S JUST WILD ABOUT HARRY! Immediately following his Friday workout, freshman congressman Manny Pacquiao, a seven-term world champion in his own right, will board a private plane with Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum and head to Las Vegas to formally endorse U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev) at a Get Out the Early Vote rally at Orr Middle School (1562 East Katie Avenue). COME FLY WITH ME! Manny Pacquiao will be the cover story (Hi-Res Cover Available Upon Request) in the November issue of American Way, the official in-flight magazine for American Airlines. The story was written by Gary Andrew Poole, whose book on Pacquiao, Pacman, was just released. The magazine will be in every seatback on every plane in the America Airlines and America Eagle fleet. American Way boasts the highest readership on any in-flight magazine, currently pegged at 3.9 million. “American Way is very selective and finicky about the celebrities we choose to highlight on our cover. LIGHTS! CAMERAS! KIMMEL! (and FERRELL!) Pacman makes the first of two November Sweeps television appearances when he goes for a Jimmy Kimmel Live hat-trick on Monday, November 1. This will be Manny’s third appearance on the popular late night talk show seen daily on ABC at 12:05 a.m. Manny made his U.S. late night network television debut before challenging welterweight champion Miguel Cotto in 2009. This time the ante will be higher as comedy box office king Will Ferrell joins him on the same show. Shades of “Step Brothers 2!”…
MANNY IS A 60 MINUTE MAN! Congressman Pacman will be featured on CBS’ landmark TV news magazine “60 Minutes” on Sunday, November 7.
