In anticipation of this weekend’s SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING doubleheader, SHOWTIME EXTREME® will re-air the much-discussed IBF Bantamweight World Championship bout, Abner Mares vs. Joseph Agbeko I, this Thursday (TONIGHT), April 19 at 10 p.m. ET/PT and Mares’ redemptive rematch, Mares vs. Agbeko II, on Friday, April 20 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
Friday’s replay telecast on SHOWTIME EXTREME will also feature Anselmo Moreno vs. Vic Darchyinan from their Dec. 3, 2011 WBA Bantamweight World Championship matchup, which served as the co-feature under Mares vs. Agbeko II. Mares vs. Agbeko I aired live on SHOWTIME on Aug. 13, 2011.

Mares scored consecutive victories in two all-action, give-and-take fights over Agbeko at 118 pounds before moving up to 122 pounds to face former two-time World Champion Eric Morel this Saturday. Moreno registered a masterful unanimous decision over Darchinyan, the ninth successful defense of his title.
Mares (23-0-1, 13 KO’s), an undefeated former Bantamweight World Champion, will return to the 122-pound division for the first time since 2006 to face Morel (46-2, 23 KO’s) for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) Super Bantamweight Championship this Saturday, April 21, live on SHOWTIME® (9:30 p.m. ET/PT, delayed on the West Coast) from the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas.
In the opening world title fight, World Boxing Association (WBA) Bantamweight Super World Champion Moreno (32-2-1, 11 KO’s) will risk his crown for a 10th time when he faces David “Morita” de la Mora (24-1, 17 KO’s) in the 12-round co-feature.
