Then, in the latest edition of “fun facts” from Golden Boy related to Floyd Mayweather vs. Miguel Cotto, we have this gem:
Mayweather vs. Cotto Fact Number 2:
Floyd Mayweather and Miguel Cotto have defeated each of their five shared opponents. These include:
- Justin Juuko
- Victoriano Sosa
- DeMarcus Corley
- Zab Judah
- Shane Mosley
It’s notable that Mayweather fought and defeated 4 of these guys first, everyone excepting Shane Mosley. Coming up in the Top Rank ranks, Cotto routinely met guys Mayweather had already vanquished, a pattern that has been repeated by some other notable Top Rank fighters as of late.
