The Floyd Mayweather post-retirement roadshow rolls on in Mexico City this Saturday night, and he takes an exhibition rematch against John Gotti III for his latest assignment.
DAZN pay-per-view televise Mayweather vs Gotti III live worldwide.
The pair haven’t held back their dislike for each other, and that spilled over in their original meeting last June.
With Mayweather dominating their eight round exhibition bout with his hand speed and footwork, the two constantly talked trash to each other and exchanged various pieces of foul play, and this eventually led to referee Kenny Bayless seeing enough, and he declared the fight a no contest, with chaos then ensuing.
Both camps stormed the ring to swing blows at each other after Gotti charged at Mayweather, both competitors were escorted out of the arena.
Gotti received a six-month ban for his part in the fracas, and he returns to meet ‘TBE’ for a second time.
Mayweather of course needs no introduction as one of the greatest to lace them up, winning multiple world titles across a wealth of weight classes, and he retired in 2017 after reaching 50 wins without a solitary loss.
Since retirement, the 47-year-old has taken gigs all over the globe in a series of exhibition bouts in Japan, London and Dubai among other locations, and he now lands in Mexico to face his New York rival.

Gotti, the grandson of a notorious US mobster, comes from an MMA background, but has had two contests under boxing rules, winning both, with the last a one round stoppage of the 1-1-1 Alex Citrowske last January.
Prediction: The only talking point about the original meeting was the brawl that ensued, as Mayweather dominated in the boxing stakes. I expect him to do the same here.
Ortiz returns
Another exhibition takes place on the undercard, and Victor Ortiz, a former Mayweather foe, takes part in his first fight in two years, where he should get a decision win against Rodrigo Damian Coria.

Moton meets Vasquez
In fully-sanctioned bouts, Mayweather’s protégé, Curmel Moton (4-0, 3 KOs) fights for the fifth time as a professional when he takes on Mexican Victor Vazquez (5-2-1) in a six round contest.
Prediction: Moton can maintain his perfect record with an early stoppage success.
Romero faces Hovhannisyan
Alan Picasso Romero (28-0-1, 16 KOs) gets a decent test against former world title challenger Azat Hovhannisyan (21-4, 17 KOs) in a 12 round clash with the WBC Silver bantamweight title on the line.
Prediction: With Hovhannisyan coming off a knockout loss to Luis Nery early on 2023, Romero can win this inside the distance.
Remaining Undercard
Luis Arias (20-4-1, 9 KOs) should take an early win in his middleweight eight rounder against Francisco Rios Amezquita (14-13-3, 10 KOs), who has been stopped 11 times.
John Easter (6-0, 6 KOs) puts his 100% record on the line, and he can win a shootout against Luis Morales Duran (5-1, 5 KOs) at light heavyweight.
At super bantamweight, Luis Rodriguez Ocana (15-0, 14 KOs) can take another stoppage win, this time against Cesar Vaca (16-1-1, 11 KOs) and Silvia Torres (21-3-3, 7 KOs), a former world title challenger, can overcome fellow Mexican, Cecilia Nino Rodriguez (13-1-1, 6 KOs) on the scorecards in their light flyweight affair.
At super middleweight, Aaron Silva (14-1, 11 KOs) can claim a stoppage win over Alfonso Flores (13-2, 9 KOs).
