Conor McGregor has urged Anthony Joshua to face Daniel Dubois again after his fifth round knockout loss last month.
McGregor was ringside as Dubois dismantled Joshua to retain his IBF heavyweight world title at Wembley Stadium in front of a record 96,000 spectators.
There is no contractual rematch clause, however Dubois’ promoter Frank Warren has said publicly that they would be open to facing ‘AJ’ again.
The rematch is apparently the preferred option for Saudi Arabian boxing chief, Turki Alalshikh who put together the event and he was pictured with Joshua and his promoter Eddie Hearn recently.
And UFC star, McGregor feels the Watford man should go straight back into a second clash with ‘Dynamite’ and believes he should alter his tactics to come out on top this time around.
“Make no mistake, I think what should happen next between Joshua and Dubois is a rematch,” the Irishman said.
“And stand the ground. Don’t even go forward, don’t even go back. Stand your ground and meet.

“Joshua has a good, strong jab.
“He almost came back, and he did hurt him with that before he got caught with the shot.
“That’s a live fight between two very evenly matched fighters that have just put on a spectacle for us all in front of 96,000 fans in, on behalf of Riyadh Season and Turki Alalshikh.
“Do that again. For real, do that again.”
McGregor, has been linked with a sensational boxing return himself against four-weight world champion, Terence Crawford.
The 36-year-old has only had one professional boxing bout, stopped by Floyd Mayweather Jr in 2017 in the second highest-grossing fight of all-time.
Crawford was reportedly offered a two-fight deal to face the two-weight UFC world champion, with one boxing bout and one MMA clash, although ‘Bud’ has revealed that he rejected the offer.
“I told Conor, ‘Hell no’,” Crawford said in an interview with Bernie Tha Boxer on YouTube.
“They called me and they offered me the fight and me and Conor got on the phone and started politicking to try and figure something out.
“And I told him, ‘Man I ain’t getting into no f****** Octagon with you so you can be kicking me and elbowing me and s***’.
“He started laughing and he said ‘Man, I respect it. You respect my sport just like I respect your sport and you understand that if you get in an Octagon you’re going to be at a disadvantage. Just like if I get into the boxing ring with you, I’m going to be at a disadvantage’.
“But he was like, ‘We will make a s*** ton of money’.
“I said, ‘Yeah, sometimes it ain’t about the money, I can make money but you ain’t about to be kicking me, dude’.
“Kicks and elbows man that s*** ain’t no joke.”
