Mexican Olympian Oscar Molina back in action on Saturday

Oscar Molina, one of only two Olympians representing Mexico in the 2012 Games in London, will go for his third straight victory this Saturday, March 30 in Guasave, Sinaloa, Mexico at the Estadio de Beisbol stadium and to be broadcast by Televisa.

In his last fight on March 9th at The Hangar in Costa Mesa, CA, Molina (2-0, 1 KO) and his twin brother Javier (13-1, 5 KOs), fought on the same show for the first time as professionals and both came away with thrilling victories. The Los Angeles-born brothers and current longtime Norwalk residents shared the stage as Olympians, Javier for Team USA in 2008 and Oscar Team Mexico.

This will be Molina’s second bout in Mexico since turning pro. He will be fighting in a 4-round bout.

Oscar Molina and brother Javier were also recently featured on a local news program. Molina’s team is hoping that Oscar has a rapid and successful rise up the rankings and becomes a big star and attraction in both Mexico and the United States.
