Cotto vs. Canelo Weigh-In Results:
The Miguel Cotto vs. Canelo Alvarez weigh-in was held this afternoon in anticipation of Saturday night’s HBO pay-per-view showdown. In front of a raucous crowd of fans, with not enough room for the onlookers who wanted in, the fighters stepped on the scales and right here you’ll find the weights. Take a look below to see how the fighters looked.
Cotto vs. Canelo Weigh-in Photos
Official Cotto vs. Canelo Weights
- Miguel Cotto: 153.5 lbs
- Canelo Alvarez: 155 lbs
Canelo looked as physically imposing as he ever has, very muscular and cut, and still a bit drained. Cotto could have easily made the junior middleweight division. There was an intense but uneventful stare down, and both guys look like they’re all business and ready for action.
Undercard Weigh-in Results
- Takashi Miura: 130 lbs
- Francisco Vargas: 129.5 lbs
- Guillermo Rigondeaux: 121.5 lbs
- Drian Francisco: 121 lbs
- Jayson Velez: 125.5 lbs
- Ronny Rios: 125.5 lbs
- Randy Caballero 123.5 lbs
- Lee Haskins: 117.5 lbs
Caballero comes in vastly overweight, and drops his title on the scale. He refused his hour to try to make the weight. Presumably Haskins will be receiving a nice payoff to continue on with the fight. Disappointing from Caballero, not even close to being on weight.
