Earlier this afternoon, Miguel Cotto held his media workout session in New York. His fight with Antonio Margarito is just days away, and Cotto is winding down his preparations. Take a look at some pictures from Cotto’s training session from today and a few notes from the event as well.

As you can see, Cotto spent a lot of time on the treadmill. That can say several different things. One, he has finished most of the hard portion of camp and is winding down and focused on avoiding peaking before the bout. It also says that he’s really intent on coming into the fight in maximum condition, to keep up his stamina and outlast Margarito, unlike in the first fight, when he got broken down and tired out late. It could also say he’s focused on cutting weight down to the 153 lb catchweight. Of course, you don’t have to read too much into it at all.

Either way, Cotto looks to be in excellent condition, and he’s of course extremely focused on this fight and having it turn out the way he wants. He has vengeance on the mind, but he isn’t out of control, it’s a focused anger and he is going to release it all on Margarito on Saturday night.
