On Tuesday, October 9th, ‘CRAZY’ Chris Cross Challenged the Former Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World, ‘IRON’ Mike Tyson to a Contest of Strength. It was Mike Tyson’s latest public stunt of one form or the other, and this was part of his entertainment schedule during a visit to Newcastle and his UK Sportsman’s Dinner Tour.
The Show was Sold Out to around 750 people eager to watch Tyson tie Cross up as tight as he could. He was given 90 seconds to do this… (in fact a little longer)…
Cross stated his strength in 90 seconds would overcome Tyson’s efforts and he’d escape – THE JACKET WAS TIGHT – Though in the 88th second, CROSS rose to the challenge and succeeded at his Escape attempt!
TYSON : “CROSS is a CRAZY Man, I Love what he does, He’s Got Really Cool Stuff Right There…”
CROSS : “Hat off to the Champ, He’s a Living Legend and it was GREAT to be given the opportunity to Perform with him. Massive Respect to Team Tyson.”
More power to Mike Tyson for being able to be a draw all over the globe, at all times, seemingly whatever he wants to do. I’d rather see his one-man show as he dishes on his life and his misadventures, but a performance like this at least seems like a good time either way. And of course, credit to Chris Cross as well… I wouldn’t want Tyson tying me up in anything!
