In the main event of the evening, John Molina Jr. continued his rise and improved to 23-1, as the referee called off the bout after the 5th round. He had busted up Robert Frankel pretty badly, with cuts and swelling above and below his eye, and he was getting thoroughly outclassed.
In what many considered to be an upset, once hot prospect Mike Dallas Jr. suffered the second loss of his pro career, as Mauricio Herrera won a Majority Decision over him. Herrera did more work and landed the harder shots throughout the bout, although Dallas Jr. made it close late. Herrera is now 18-1, and Dallas Jr. falls to 17-2-1.
Comebacking former Olympian Ricardo Williams scored another win on the card, and young Olympian Javier Molina continued his winning ways as well.
