Of course, the fight everyone was interested in on Friday night was the main event, featuring Sergio Mora taking on Shibata Flores. Mora scored the very rare knockout for his career track record, stopping the overmatched Flores in the 67h round. Also on the undercard, unbeaten prospect Hugo Centeno kept up his winning ways as well.
Next Friday night, fight fans will see a special edition of “Sólo Boxeo Tecate” Classics as the broadcast will take a look back at some memorable fights of Guadalajara’s undefeated WBC Super Welterweight World Champion Canelo Alvarez. The special broadcast will feature two of Canelo Alvarez’s classic fights in anticipation of his November 26 world title defense against former World Champion Kermit “The Killer” Cintron on HBO’s Boxing After Dark. The show will re-air the battle between Canelo Alvarez and Jose Cotto (Alvarez TKO9) from May 1, 2010 as well as Alvarez vs. Baldomir (Alvarez KO6) which took place on September 18, 2010. The TeleFutura broadcast begins at 12:30am ET/PT (11:30pm CT).
