Artifacts hand-signed by iconic Heavyweight Boxing Champion Muhammad Ali highlight the Steiner Sports Memorabilia on-line Fall Classic Auction, it was announced today by Steiner CEO and Founder Brandon Steiner. The auction will continue through November 4.
The Ali memorabilia is from the collection of best-selling author Jeffrey Gitomer, and includes an autographed canvas of Ali with the Olympic Torch painted by sports artist Stephen Holland, inscribed Ali boxing gloves, one of which is signed, and a Cassius Clay autographed index card, which of course dates back to before 1964, when “The Greatest” changed his name to Ali.

Of course there’s a huge range of additional sports memorabilia up for grabs in the auction, including a signed copy of No More Vietnams by Richard Nixon from college coaching immortal Bobby Knight’s book collection, and baseball’s signed on the “sweet spot” by Hall of Famers Walter Johnson, Joe DiMaggio and Honus Wagner are also in the Fall Classic Auction.
The artifacts from Coach Knight’s collection total 259 new lots, including a wide-variety of books signed by the authors such as Dick Vitale’s Fabulous 50 Players & Moments in College Basketball, and The Palace Guard by Dan Rather; and signed Indiana items. Featured in this collection are Coach Knight’s All-Time March Madness Team Award, three signed Indiana Canvas 25 Artist Proofs, Coach Knight’s 2013 NCAA Final Four folding chair, and Knight’s 1984 Olympic Gold Medal Game Box Score Wood Plaque.
