Nonito Donaire is back in action next Saturday night, squaring off against two-division champion Omar Narvaez from Madison Square Garden in New York City. It’s Donaire’s first fight since his crushing knockout win over Fernando Montiel, which vaulted him into discussion as a top 3 type pound for pound fighter. Donaire recently held a public workout in preparation of his title defense, and you can see a collection of photos from the event here.
Donaire’s promotional situation is back under control, and he’ll be eager to regain some of that momentum he had from that win way back in March. He has also said that this will be his last fight at bantamweight, and then it’s onto bigger and better things for the Filipino Flash.
