On Saturday, October 20, Showtime televises the big boxing card at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn. The card features Paulie Malignaggi vs. Pablo Cesar Cano, Peter Quillin vs. Hassam N’Dam, Danny Garcia vs. Erik Morales II, and now Randall Bailey vs. Devon Alexander, along with a loaded undercard with many of the borough’s and the city’s finest prospects and rising contenders. When the rematch between Erik Morales and Danny Garcia was announced, nobody was too excited. The rematch isn’t really necessary, and Morales hasn’t done anything to warrant it. However, when they started putting together a loaded card like this, views on the event definitely started to change. Now there’s a string of worthwhile fights at the top of the bill, all supporting each other, and then as mentioned, there’s still a busy and big-name filled undercard going on as well.
