Undefeated San Diego junior welterweight Antonio Orozco (9-0, 6KOs) is hard at work training at the CYAC Gym in National City, CA. Under the watchful eye of his trainer Carlos Barragan, Orozco put together an intense work out that included mitt work, working on the heavy bag and shadow boxing.
Orozco is in the gym in preparation for his next outing, a six round bout versus the always feared TBA on Thursday, April 21st, at Costa Mesa, CA’s Fight Club OC. The card is presented by Roy Englebrecht Promotions.
Originally slated to face Hensley Strachan (5-8-1, 1KO), Team Orozco which also includes manager Frank Espinoza is in search for an new opponent after Strachan had to bow out due to medical issues.
“I want to stay busy and after my last fight, I was ready to come back soon,” Orozco said of his first round KO of southpaw Manuel Aguilar last month which was broadcast on Telefutura from the same venue. “I came out clean out of that fight and didn’t really exert myself. I am glad Frank Espinoza was able to find this opportunity for me to fight again at the Fight Club OC.”
