The Oscar De La Hoya Foundation hosted its 16th annual Golf Classic at the Lakeside Golf Club to raise funds for programs that will benefit the youth and community of East Los Angeles. The Foundation annually hosts a boxing gym equipment donation, Thanksgiving dinner giveaway and holiday toy giveaway in addition to supporting the Oscar De La Hoy a Ánimo Charter High School, the Cecilia Gonzalez De La Hoya Cancer Center and the Oscar De La Hoya Labor and Delivery Center and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (both located at White Memorial Hospital in East Los Angeles).
Celebrities including Michael Pena (Ant-Man, The Martian, Fury, American Hustle), Andy Garcia (Max Steel, Ghostbusters, Ocean’s Twelve, Ocean’s Thirteen, The Godfather), Eddie “Piolin” Sotelo (Grammy Nominated International Recording Artist and radio personality), Garrett Hedlund (Pan, Tron, Unbroken, Country Strong), Rob Riggle (Dumb and Dumber To, Let’s Be Cops, The Internship, 21 Jump Street), Jorge Campos (retired Mexican soccer player), and Fernando Valenzuela (former Los Angeles Dodger) all joined De La Hoya at Lakeside Golf Club for a day of fun competition on the green.
